Solstice: A Vampire Tale by Bryan W. Dull : Interview: Sizzling PR Tour Stop

Welcome Bryan.  Thanks for stopping by and agreeing to answer a few questions.  :)  Where do you dream of traveling to and why?

Japan.  I have a weird obsession with the culture and I would like to get a sense of the scenery in the country and city.  I am a fan of the anime and film in that area.  I am working on something now that was partially inspired by their horror culture.

Tell us about your current release.

“Solstice” is a vampire story of a half breed vampire child that clings to a man that kills vampires that have not fully turned yet, most being prostitutes that carry the AIDS virus they received from other vampires.  Solstice is being hunted for her abilities by other vampires and the conspiracy comes to head as they both are in a game of cat and mouse.

Tell us about your next release.

“Equinox” the sequel to “Solstice” is half way done as is another title called “Retail”.  I think Equinox will be next and puts another spin on the vampire saga.

Who is your favorite author?

Chuck Palahniuk

What does your significant other and family think of your writing career?

My wife and mother are pretty supportive.  The others, for the most part, don’t seem to really care or understand.  When “Solstice” came out as a self-published novel, the only person to buy a copy was my dad…that’s it.  My friends, past and current, were more excited.  It’s frustrating sometimes, but Bette Midler once said “The worst part of success is finding people to be happy for you”, then again maybe they just don’t like to read.

Who are your books published with?

Crushing Hearts & Black Butterfly Publishing

Do you listen to music while writing? If so what?

Movie trailer music, amongst regular music as well.  That music gives me ideas.  The next book in the Solstice trilogy was partially inspired by the Prometheus movie trailer.

What was the scariest moment of your life?

When I was held up at gunpoint at work…all three times.

If you were to write a series of novels, what would it be about?

Angels and the eventual end of the world

How do you react to a bad review of your book?

You can’t have one without the other.  If you get a negative review that just means that someone read it.

Entice us, what future projects are you considering?

Zombies, Angels, Mental Health, Captain Hook, Pharmaceutical companies in the future, customer service gone psychotic, and more vampires

In Gavin Moxley's world, there is no thin line between right and wrong. In a personal crusade to help sever a line of disease carried by a clan of vampires; Gavin has no choice to be ruthless. The Vampires are purposely infecting the human population…waiting for humans to actively pass it on to each other. Gavin takes no chances and executes them one by one. Not strong or powerful, finding humans before they turn into full vampires is ideal and Gavin’s best bet.
Yes, this is Gavin’s life…
…And nothing ever changes it until a young half breed vampire with special abilities, Solstice, attaches and makes herself a fixture in his life when she asks for his help and protection and when a reluctant Gavin agrees he joins a dangerous game of cat and mouse. There is no safe place and the pair are constantly watching their backs. Torn between his hate and his love for Solstice Gavin is thrown into a moral dilemma that only he can figure out but two things are clear…
His faith and Humanity are being tested and the past is not always forgotten.
