GENRE: Paranormal Romantic Suspense
The Octopus isn't an urban myth—and its agents are anything but ordinary. The intelligence bureau is so well-hidden most doubt its existence. A handful know its location. And fewer walk the halls in the subterranean compound.
Benjamin Sinclair didn't ask to be a scientific miracle but every mission has its risks and one perfectly-placed bullet ended his life—for a brief moment in time.
Nicole Anima battles demons every day. Life as a paranormal resources operative gives her tortured mind a rest—and keeps her from contemplating her own death.
When Anima and Sinclair partner on a globe-trotting race to eliminate the threat about to cripple humanity, all hell breaks loose. Leaping from planes, crashing into continents, dealing with voodoo priestesses, and running through jungles with zombies hot on their trail doesn't leave much time for romance, but this duo somehow manages to sizzle.
Two agents. Telepathic mind paired with regenerated commando. One world—and a mission to save it.
He leaned back in his seat. “Well, all your dreams just might come true. By the time we’re done, you could score all for the humans and zero for the bad guys.”
“From your mouth to God’s ears.” A tight smile. “Oh, that’s right. Silly me, I forgot. You zombies don’t believe in God, do you?”
He didn’t answer. His eyes widened as he looked out the window. She followed his lead, turning her attention to the tarmac.
The air steward entered the cabin. A 9mm Glock hung in his right hand. He nodded to the ground outside. “We got trouble, folks.”
“Looks that way, doesn’t it?” Sinclair reached a hand behind his back and pulled a pistol from his waistband. No wide-grip, chunky Glock, but a streamlined stainless steel weapon that looked designed for precision. He ejected the magazine, checked and reseated it, then racked the slide. He stood, returned it and pulled his black leather jacket back in place.
The white zone wreaking havoc in her cerebral cortex was far too intense for Sinclair to be fully responsible. Sure, some of it was his but the short time they’d spent together on the plane had already let her mind become used to the static emitted by his restored brain.
The sensory overload crashing into her was like a dozen Sinclairs—no, three or four dozen—surrounding her.
