Book tagline:

A lycan gladiator in Rome's brutal arena vows to claim his forbidden mate … but her secrets may seal their doom.

 Book Blurb:

During a time of bloody gladiator games and treacherous schemes, a secret society of lycans live amongst the Romans.

When Ulric, a lycan gladiator, meets a mysterious human woman with green eyes, he’s drawn to her fiery beauty, enraptured by her alluring aroma. Unfortunately, Ulric and the beauty are slaves. To make matters worse, he can mate only with someone marked with the sign of the wolf.

Cassia’s hidden wolf mark burns in the presence of the handsome gladiator. While her heart yearns to be near Ulric, logic warns her against it—having a slave as a mate is against the lycan society’s plans for her.

In spite of the lycan society’s rules and the emperor’s brutal plots, their love grows … but their passion just may cost them their lives.

Cassia, wolf maiden healer heroine from Lycan Gladiator. The interview took place in her domus in Ancient Rome days before she meets Ulricus, Rome’s undefeated gladiator, who happens to be a lycan.

You are human yet important to the secret lycan society, why?

I was born with the mark of the wolf on my left hip.

I’m the intended mate of an alpha lycan. Female alphas are sterile and an alpha male must seek a wolf maiden to father children. There is more to my nature but I cannot say.

What is the Lupercal?

The Lupercal is the lycan governing body, run by twelve alpha females. They issue laws amongst all the packs and are responsible for keeping our lycan society a secret. To reveal our secret makes one a rogue, a crime punishable by death.

Tell us about your family:

I’m an orphan and at age five adopted by Lupercii, Faunus Gaius. Gaius is a lycan physician and I’m his pupil. In public, I’m his slave but in private he guards my secret.

What was the scariest moment of your life?

As a child in Judea, I was torn away from my lycan aunt and taken aboard a Roman slave galley.

What are you passionate about these days? Healing lycans and helping the Lupercal stop the brutal lycans that turn captured packs into slaves called omegas. Worse, one in particular, an alpha named Ulricus is forced to be a gladiator.

What is your typical day like?

I often go to the suburra or Roman market place to shop for healing herbs, when I’m not needed to assist Gauis with wounded or ailing lycans. Unlike the picture below, the suburra is crowded and thieves roam the streets.

What do you do to unwind and relax?

A glass of warm wine and a meal of bread dipped in olive oil.

Who should play you in a film?

Natalie Portman.

What one word best describes you?
