Gargoyle Addiction by Livia Olteano: Character Interview

Author Livia Olteano Chitchats with Kann Varis,
character in Gargoyle Addiction

LO: Hey Kann, thanks for taking the time to talk.

KV: *snorts* Like I could have said 'no'? You're evil, there's no telling what you'll do to me in some far off story.

LO: *chuckles* Coming from you, 'evil' is high praise. Happy to know I've got your vote of confidence. So, what's been going on since we talked last time?

KV: Hmm… I moved in with Karla, got a job…you know, regular stuff.

LO: Job? Seriously, what job could a gargoyle have? Tell me you're not flipping burgers somewhere.

KV: I'm working with the shifters… *holds up a hand* Don't ask.

LO: Oh-kay…how are things with Karla?

KV: She's great. Seems to have a really big appetite lately, but other than that…

LO: You did not just discuss couple matters right now, right?

KV: *snorts* I meant appetite for food. Geez, you've got a dirty mind.

LO: I write smutty stuff, you do remember.

KV: *grins* Oh, yes, I'm fully aware. That’s a skill I highly appreciate.

LO: Uhm, yeah, great. So, what's in store for the two of you now that you're together?

KV: Can't comment much about that, but there's more fun in store.

LO: Right. What about sharing with us something about the human world you really love? Aside Karla, of course.

KV: Chocolate cake. No, don't laugh, I'm serious. We didn't have that kind of food in Piatra. It's so soft and syrupy, and it melts in your mouth with all that chocolatey goodness…

LO: *clears throat* Okay, we get the picture.

KV: Seriously, it's incredible! Yesterday Karla took me to this shop, and it was all filled with cake! All kinds of cake, vanilla, and strawberry, and…

LO: Kann! We got the picture, stop it or you'll give us diabetes.

KV: Eheh, sorry. Gargoyles don't get diabetes.

LO: I bet you don't even get fat, do you? Regardless of munching on cake like some cake-junkie.

KV: *grins* I can eat all the cake in the world.

LO: I hate you. Go away, you're depressing me.

KV: But we were supposed to…

LO: No, no, never mind. Thanks for your time, buh-bye.

KV: Yes, but…

I'm declaring him a cake-allergic gargoyle right now. *makes a note on a post-it that will, of course, get lost on her desk*

Gargoyle Addiction
Otherworlds Summons Book One
Livia Olteano
Genre: New Adult (Spicy!) Paranormal Romance
Expected Publication: July 15 2013
Book Description:
Summonari don’t trust. Under their command, they summon any number of creatures from the Otherwolds—but never trust them outside of the summoning.

Gargoyles don’t love. Fierce descendants of dragons, they function on power and fear—never love.
Karla isn’t the happily-ever-after type of girl. No territory-hungry guy is going to stick flags all over her unclaimed grounds.

Kann’s world is death and betrayal. As Dar Primus of Haus Varis, he’s expected to follow tradition but he’s not your regular gargoyle. In fact, he’s anything but.

One fateful Friday night, Otherworlds collide. Stuck together in one world or another, Karla and Kann face everything from Awakenings and turbulent love to Festnavals and bloodthirsty scorned suitors.

If there’s one thing they can’t escape, it’s the addiction to each other. And they’ve got it bad.
