Blood Hex by Erin Butler: Interview: Sizzling PR Tour Stop

Welcome Erin.  Thanks for taking a little time out to chat with me.  Do you listen to music while writing? If so what?
I wish I could, but I can’t. I am one of those that have to sing along with songs so it kind of made it hard to write at the same time.
What book are you reading now?
Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
What are your favorite TV shows?
I am obsessed with The Vampire Diaries and still in mourning over The Secret Circle cancellation. I love Bones, The Voice, and Chicago Fire.

What songs are most played on your Ipod?

Taylor Swift. Her songs just make me feel.
Is there a writer you idolize? If so who?
R.L. Stine. I have been a huge fan of his since I was a teenager. More so his Fear Street series, not Goosebumps. I was a little too old for them when they first started coming out.

What would we find under your bed?

Geez, I don’t know. I’m scared to look. J

Beatles or Monkees? Why?
Hands down, the Beatles. They’re iconic! When I was in middle school, my mother and my aunt took my sister and I to a Beatles cover band that played outside in a local park. I have been in love since then. I think that was my first “concert”.

Do your friends think you are an introvert or an extravert? Why?
An introvert for sure. Come on, I spend most of my time thinking about people and worlds that aren’t real! J

Two girls. Four centuries. One curse.  Isabella started it—all because a boy fell in love with her—but it ends with Sarah. Isabella and Thomas meet in secret during the witching hours while the  rest of the villagers hide behind locked doors. And even though Isabella's scared, she wants Thomas more. He'll protect her from the night, from his father who'll decide her future, and from the paranoia-fueled hunting parties taking away innocents. Centuries later, seventeen-year old Sarah runs away to an aunt she never knew she had. Her dad? Dead. Her mother? A liar. She wants the memories of a father she never got, but instead, discovers her father's death wasn’t innocent. Everyone—the Wiccans, the townies, even her quasi-boyfriend—are hiding something. The secret the history-rich town will kill to keep entangles Sarah into a centuries  old witch curse.
