According to Plan by Madison J. Edwards- Interview, giveaway : Sizzling PR Tour Stop

BLURB

What do you do when things don’t go According to Plan? For starters, you trick, deceive, and lie to the very person who ruined your best laid plans.
Welcome to the world of Shelby Stewart, P.I., who’s been hired to find Harrison Grant. To complicate matters further, her ex-partner, ex-lover, ex-everything Tank shows up looking for Harrison as well, albeit for a very different reason. Harry is the prime suspect in the grisly murder of a call girl, Lulu, in L.A
That wouldn’t be so bad, but Tank plans on staying at Shelby’s house, and makes it obvious he’s quite willing to help her heat the sheets, again. Shelby knows that sex with Tank is dangerous, fast, and sometimes a little dirty. Now is not the time to become side-tracked. Besides, this job could launch her company into a whole new stratosphere, so it’s imperative she remain focused.
Frustration becomes Shelby’s newest partner as she makes plans to out maneuver Tank in their parallel quest. Tank, on the other hand, is always one step ahead of the game—and is not what, or who, Shelby thought.

INTERVIEW

Tell us about a favorite character from a book.
It seems most people love Tank – and what’s not to love? – but I have a real soft spot for Polly. She’s allowed to spout the feisty stuff and be in your face because through her we find out information our lead characters wouldn’t or couldn’t reveal. She’s someone you could sit down and have a drink with.

Where do you dream of traveling to and why?
I dream of doing a wine tour through Tuscany. I’m sure I’ve romanticized it in my mind, but the pictures of rolling hills with tall cypress trees guarding the drive leading to the spectacular villa you’d be staying in makes me long to go there.

Does travel play in the writing of your books?
It has in small part. I’m setting my next book at 17th Century Scotland, and haven’t travelled there, yet. But I’ve been to Germany and toured a castle and old wine making place. I wanted a sense of what would it feels like to be within great stone walls. It amazed me how narrow the staircase was leading to the roof, and I couldn’t imagine how big men negotiated it, especially if they were wearing any kind of armour, and/or carrying weapons.

Tell us about your current release.
My current release is According to Plan – I’ll quote from a reviewer because she encapsulated from more concisely than I:
Shelby and Tank have a tumultuous past… mainly him leaving her for another woman with no warning.

What was your first sale as an author?
My first sale as an author was According to Plan. I signed the contract in January 2011, but my first release and subsequent sale as in $$$ was The Perfect Secretary, which went as high as #2 on OmniLit/ARe Bestseller’s list.

What does your significant other and family think of your writing career?
My husband is very proud of me. He’s been telling me for years to write a book – I hate it when he’s right. My sons, their wives and kids are also so supportive of this little adventure.

Does your significant other read your stuff?
Nope. Explains it’s ‘not his thing’. Believe me, I’ve tried. I think he’s afraid of where my mind goes. Plausible deniability would be an apt phrase for him.

Do you have critique partners or beta readers?
Our University has continuing education classes, and in the Fiction Writer’s Workshop I met two ladies, and we instantly meshed. We meet every two weeks. We all write different genres, so they give me a perspective unique to their strengths.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Doctor. At the age of eight I set up a TV tray and chair in my closet. I dragged in a lamp and would scribble charts and prescriptions for my ‘patients’. They were all lined up on my bed, and I used ‘Goodies’ as my capsules. This dream slowly petered out, but there are times when I wonder….

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

The Prairie dust is in my blood, but no longer on my shoes.
Madison grew up around ranchers and farmers and always assumed she’d become a farmer’s wife, raise the requisite four boys, and make sure there was always enough pie at community social functions. Imagine her surprise when she found herself married to an Air Force pilot, moving around the country every two years on the government’s ticket and her family of four boys was decreased by two.
With hubby deployed all over the world, Madison quickly became father and mother and soon discovered, with two active, thriving, can find trouble anywhere boys, that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Ask her sons. Don’t mess with the Mama.
Her sons are grown with families of their own and Madison finally pursued her dream, which was to put fingers to keyboard and write a book. On January 25, 2011 that dream was realized with the sale of According to Plan.
Madison resides in London, Ontario with her husband and two very spoiled Scottish Fold cats. She is a member of the Romance Writers of Ontario, Toronto Romance Writers and Passionate Ink.

This book has been on my wishlist since I first saw it. I love a second-chance at love story and really want to know why Tank left her before, because I think there must be a reason for it. Thanks so much for the chance to win a copy of it.
